Ave, Imperator
You are Marcus Tiro, a recruit sold to a gladiator school. Every game is a fight on the sand in front of the whole city, with the emperor watching from his box.
Win the crowd, win the waves, beat the champion and decide his fate. Then spend your denarii in the armory and do it again, seven times, for the wooden sword that means freedom.
The arenaMunus I starts with condemned men and rusted iron and ends with Gallus. After that come retiarii with nets and tridents, Thracians, heavy murmillones, the Amazons, the Emperor’s games and, last of all, the champion Spiculus.

Beat a champion and the crowd calls for blood or mercy. Kill or spare, and they will remember either way.
Denarii, spoils and new armour wait in the ludus between games.
Each munus brings a different kind of fighter, and a champion at the end.

Nine moments in the arena
All of it from the game.

The gate the winners walk out of.

Fifty thousand seats.

The crowd likes that.

Hold, then strike.

Shade for fifty thousand.

Close enough to smell it.

Trapdoors bring the next wave.

Curved blades, no mercy.

Hear them roar.
