Stroll down Main Street under the Harvest Festival bunting. Order pie at Rosie’s. Ring the Town Hall bell, then catch the train out to the lake before the lamps come on.

And the whole place is alive. 162 townsfolk with names and something to say. Cars that wait at the lights. A steam train that keeps its timetable.

Main Street’s shops, the Acorn Grand Hotel, the Town Hall, the library, the chapel, the schoolhouse and 45 family homes. Walk in and look around. The booths are set, the shelves are stocked and the beds are made.

Every street, porch and back alley is yours to explore. Walk into any shop or home, climb the stairs, and press E to chat with whoever you meet.

Borrow a car.
Everyone does.

Twelve 1950s models, from a wood-panelled wagon to the fire engine. Hop into any parked car, cruise past the square and leave it wherever you like.

The 5:15 is

A green and brass steam engine runs the loop through the tunnel, over the trestle and out to the lake. Board at any platform and ride in the coach or up in the cab.

your name here.

Meet 162 residents with names, jobs and plenty to say about the Harvest Festival. The baker is at her ovens, kids are on the swings and somebody is always fishing off the pier.

Ducks paddle on the pond, cats doze in the alleys, and the cars stop for anyone crossing at the corner.

Three stations, a tunnel through Acorn Ridge and a timber trestle over the creek. The crossing gates come down as the engine rolls through.
